This introductory course develops Italian language acquisition through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It covers basic Italian pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. It also explores the history, geography, and customs of the Italian-speaking world. 
At the completion of this course, students should be able to greet others, introduce themselves, ask for information and directions, describe people, things, and places, talk about Italian education system, talk about food and drinks, as well as discuss common activities, leisure time, trip planning, daily life, family and traditions, trip reservation and planning.
