This introductory course develops Italian language acquisition through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It covers basic Italian pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. It also explores the history, geography, and customs of the Italian-speaking world.
At the completion of this course, students should be able to greet others, introduce themselves, ask for information and directions, describe people, things, and places, talk about Italian education system, talk about food and drinks, as well as discuss common activities, leisure time, trip planning, daily life, family and traditions, trip reservation and planning. Parking permits are $40 and are available at the campus. Parking permits are not required for Saturday classes. We have student parking in level P2 located underground at the Cesar E Chavez Campus at 1901 Main Street. To access the underground parking, head south on Main St. and turn right into the driveway behind the campus. We also have a parking structure located at 1902 National Ave. Permits are required for both places.
